Go ahead. Remember that the code must work in python 2.3-2.6 and 3.0rc1,
and under Berkeley DB 4.0-4.7.

If you are not an experienced python extension developer, I must tell
these particular features are more difficult that they seems. They were
planned for version 4.7.5, but if you succeed, they could be in 4.7.4
(to be released in a couple of weeks, if I can get rid of the cast next
friday...).
