Current pybsddb support distributed transactions, but not XA. Support
was planned for the future.

In Berkeley DB 4.8, Oracle removed XA support. If you want to recover XA
support (and pybsddb support for it), you can ask Oracle for
reevaluation. They are open to reconsider, if there is a real need out
there.
