Yo desearía una verdadera videoconsola con ganas de competir en el mercado, no una Raspberry emulando a las de siempre (aunque incluyera a la Jaguar), y ya he dicho en otros sitios que debería considerarse la posibilidad de una simbiosis de micromecenazgo o financiación colectiva (crowdfunding) con un juego que también tenga una buena cantidad de aficionados, por ejemplo los continuadores de la saga "Bioshock" con proyectos alternativos y que están congelados como es "The Black Glove"; de esa manera se garantizaría el mercado de los nostálgicos más una apertura con nuevas generaciones que componen un jugoso número de aficionados (consiguieron 216.000 dólares en micromecenazgo de sus aficionados, aunque no se alcanzó la cantidad exigida por los desarrolladores).
Atari debería hablar claro y comunicar lo que puede o quiere darnos, porque algunos nos sentiríamos defraudados si su aspiración es limitarse a emular una VCS 2600 con joysticks USB y vídeo HDMI para ver los píxeles del tamaño de puños; la generación de Atari tenemos canas, nostalgia y dinero, pero la paciencia podría agotarse.
Creo que debe existir vida más allá de la 2600, ese es el verdadero reto y la alegría de resucitar una leyenda al margen de vendernos relojes y camisetas con su logotipo.
